To pewne że rok 2000 był dla Johana Van Roy'a był pełen sukcesów. Premierę kolejnego krążka - "Mindstrip" - poprzedził podwójny tryumf singli "Comatose Delusion" i "Hellraiser" na szczycie niemieckiej alternatywnej listy przebojów. Single jednak często nie świadczą o jakości płyty. Podchodząc sceptycznie do kolejnej produkcji belgijczyków czeka miłe zaskoczenie. Mamy przed sobą jeden z kamieni milowych muzyki określanej mianem EBM. Słuchając całościowo tej produkcji odczuwa się wpływy Skinny Puppy czy Front 242, co potwierdza sam Van Roy, wymieniając te zespoły, razem z Klinik, jako mentorów muzycznych. Trzeba przyznać, że Suicide Commando jest jednym z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych zespołów na scenie electro, i zawdzięcza to m.in. właśnie "Mindstrip".
De facto album zaczyna się od wspomnianego "Hellraiser". Nasuwa się tutaj skojarzenie z "Filth God" Panzer AG. "Body Count Proceed" uspokaja nieco atmosferę po power noisie. Uspokojenie jednak nie jest jednoznaczne z nudą. Przewijający się przez utwór motyw połączony z wypowiadanymi słowami tworzy niesamowitą całość. Chwila spokoju przerwana zostaje "Raise Your God". Pod względem muzycznym płyta jest sinusoidą. Ponowne downtempo. Mindstripper it's not what it seems. "Run" nieco ubogi w dźwięki może być jedynym potknięciem Van Roy'a. Overdose Shot Two. Następca na płycie i poprzednik singlowy "Hellraiser" - "Comatose Delusion". Nie można zapomnieć o sztampowym "Love Breeds Suicide". Razem z "H" oraz "CD" powinien tworzyć trójkąt bermudzki płyty, z którego nie można się wyrwać już po pierwszym odsłuchu. Zwieńczenie. Our life is a torment paved with sorrow and pain.
Pesymistyczna wizja panie Van Roy.
