Harmony Garden started as a pure neo-folk project 2001, first album "wounded" released 2002 by German label TRITON and it get good response but as it was a project, the band was quiet for a long time. 10 years to be exact. Timo, the songwriter and singer of HG continued to work again with the project 2012 and first he did few solo gig’s for example with Spiritual Front and Aliens Sex Fiend in Germany and Finland.

First release after long silence was 7" single "Sixteen Men", Limited edition single is now sold out.

2013 second album "Fortune’s Fool" was released. Album was more personal that the first one. Timo used lot of studio top musicians in this album and was more focused on production and as well the musical aspects. Album got good reviews but as music biz nowadays is bit challenging for act’s like HG the album stayed in the dark. One video was also made. "the ballad of my last day" was shot in Mexico, video got really good response. 2013 HG got new players and was more band than ever.

2014 was quiet year, Timo had some serious health issues and band was on brake for 5 months. Harmony Garden performed only 6 gigs in 2014.

2015 has been busy year, so far 14 gig’s, forth coming short european tour, which highlight is gig in Runes & Men folk festival in Leipzig, Germany. HG has also been in studio. Third studio album will be a concept album will be definitely most ambitious album HG has so far done and the most expensive.
Whole album will be done at legendary JJ-studio and is fully analog, without any pro tools fixing. The album producer is Juuso Norlund.

2015 HG had also some line-up chances. Katinka and Vesa, left the band as mutual agreement. New players are ex-Korpiklaani violinist mr. Hittavainen and multi talent guitar player Tero Mäenpää.
Two new players has brought valuable experience to HG live sound.

HG’s music is hard to explain but let’s try: Folkish murder ballads a’la Nick Cave but it has twist of country and dark modern electronic stuff like Massive Attack…

HARMONY GARDEN (Suomi)

Harmony Garden alkoi puhtaana neo-folk projektina vuonna 2001, ensimmäinen albumi WOUNDED julkaistiin vuonna 2002 Saksalaisen Triton levymerkin voimin ja saikin hyvän vastaanoton mutta koska HG oli yhden miehen projekti tuolloin enempää ei ollut tarkoitustakaan tehdä.

2012 kuitenkin biisinikkari Timo Väänänen herätti HG:n henkiin ja alkuun keikkailemalla Suomessa ja Saksassa mm legendaarisen Alien Sex Fiend yhtyeen lämmittelijänä. Muutaman keikan Timo veti myös Spiritual Front yhtyeen kanssa. Samana vuonna julkaistiin myös 7" single SIXTEEN MEN joka nyttemmin on loppuunmyyty.

Toinen täyspitkä albumi FORTUNES FOOL näki päivänvalon syksyllä 2013 ja sai loistavia arvosteluja mutta niinkuin usein nykypäivänä musiikkkibisneksessä käy: tämäkin hyvä albumi jäi vain pienen piirin herkuksi. Albumi oli ensimmäiseen verrattuna paljon henkilökohtaisempi ja tällä kertaa levyllä vieraili paljon studiomuusikoita Suomen kärkiyhtyeistä (Yö, Dingo etc.)

2014 olikin sitten hiljaisempi vuosi Timon terveysongelmien vuoksi ja yhtye ei tehnyt kuin 6 keikkaa.

2015 sen sijaan onkin ollut kiireisempi, tähän mennessä on yhtye tehnyt jo 14 keikkaa ja on parasta aikaa työstömässä kolmatta studioalbumia. Tällä kertaa levy tehdään 100% analogisesti legendaarisessa JJ-studiolla jossa mm Juice Leskinen levytti aikoinaan monet levyt. Levyn tuottajana on Juuso Norlund. Kesällä 2015 tapahtui myös miehistön vaihdoksia: uusina jäseninä yhtyeeseen liittyivät Mr. Hittavainen (ex-korpiklaani) viulu ja Tero Mäenpää kitara/mandoliini.
